PART ONE
Put your brand on 3 applications:
• Special promotional insert in a magazine
• choose/bring to class the magazine in which you will be inserted
• produce the insert, so that class can flip through magazine and experience your insert
• be creative and research inserts – options of where they are placed (inside/outside) – pop-up, multiple-page booklet,
fold-out poster, CD, etc.
• Repeat pattern used on something that works with your story (fabric, tiles, etc.), but make it make sense for your story
• Choose one more thing SPECIFIC to your brand that you are SURE no one else is using


PRESENTATION
Present actual insert in actual magazine that can be handled by class
Present actual sample object with actual pattern. If it is impossible to make your object (it’s a building and it’s too big), then present images in PowerPoint.
Post presentation on class blog – due DAY OF CLASS.
Printout presentation and put in 8.5” x 11” binder.

BE CREATIVE!!!! Research all topics. Don’t think you already understand and know all about a magazine insert or know everything about patterns. Present something creative and different, something that will EXCITE us!!
